Role of the carriage service provider

Carriage service providers have a critical role to play in the smartnumbers auctions. These organisations provide telecommunications services on numbers. When you apply for a smartnumber you will be asked to select a carriage service provider. This may be your existing carriage service provider, or any one of the other providers offering services on smartnumbers.

The following is a list of registered carriage service providers that offer services on freephone and local rate numbers:

Once you have secured the rights to use a smartnumber, we advise that you contact your preferred carriage service provider to discuss terms and conditions of providing service on the number. It is important to fully understand the terms and conditions of the contract for provision of service on the number. In particular, you should be clear on the procedures for handling service faults, maintenance, general enquiries and complaints, and any additional fees and charges.
